We claim US power prices have permanently entered a new era driven by capacity shortage - and not increased natural gas prices. We further claim until and unless structural changes are made, the situation is unlikely to improve. The US power market structure is now and has been broken. Furthermore material constraints exist that are preventing any additional generation to go on line in scale.
